In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents in 1993, Salisbury University students and teachers collected folk life material. For this project, Michelle Riffle researched about the legend of the New Jersey Devil. Being from New Jersey herself, she knew the legend very well but wanted to compare her version to that of others. He interviewed different people ranging from a 6-year old child to a 66-year old woman. She enclosed some pictures, including that of the "Devil's house" in Leeds Point.
